D’Amico Design Associates Wins International Award
On June 8, 2005, New York City, D’Amico Design Associates "DADA" received 1st Place for the “Vacation Ownership Property” category, in the First Annual Hospitality Design Magazine Awards for Creative Achievement. Thirteen winners were selected from over 200 entries of national and international hotels, restaurants and spas. The winners will be featured in the July 2005 issue of the magazine. HDMag.com
The winning design is for the “Cabana” located at 6261 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach’s Historic North Beach (MiMo) Resort District. Each Cabana unit is 370 square feet designed as a “modern beach retreat”, Teri D’Amico, President and Owner of D’Amico Design Associates says “the project proves that small spaces don’t have to sacrifice style, comfort or function”.
The Cabana is a project of BSG Development Corporation and Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership. It also won “Florida’s Best For 2005” for Interior Design and Historic Preservation given by the South Florida Builders Association.
